Darwin Sailing Club (DSC) host racing throughout the dry season from April to October, taking full advantage of the Top End's cool, breezy conditions. Racing includes Off the Beach & Big Boat Series - designed to challenge sailors skills and encourage friendly competition.

2026 Racing Calendar

After each race, sailors & spectators gather on the lawns or in the bar to recount the day's events, celebrate the winners and enjoy a sunset drink and hangout. Race results are determined by handicap, ensuring a fair competition for all boats.

Darwin Sailing Club (DSC) hosts a variety of Regattas throughout the dry season from May to October, taking full advantage of the Top End's cool, breezy conditions. Racing includes Off the Beach & Big Boat Events - designed to challenge sailors skills and encourage friendly competition.

iCLA Masters

18th - 25th September 2026

If you are not old enough for the Masters event there is an Under 30 Regatta for sailors under 30 years of age. This will be sailed in the ILCA 6 only and will be run alongside the main event. Full deatials on the NT Laser Association

NT Women's Regatta

28th - 30th August 2026

Designed to promote and encourage women to get involved in sailing and yacht racing. Held over 3 days, it is open to all types of yachts, including multi-hulls and welcomes the most seasoned or the newest of sailors, including those from interstate.

Darwin to Saumlaki

19th September 2026

This rally is to Saumlaki in the Tanimbar islands. Saumlaki has a population of approximately 15,000 people, and is located due north of Darwin on the southern end of Pulau Yamdena, within a natural harbour.
 
The Tanimbar Islands - also known as Timur Laut - are a group of around 65 islands in Indonesia’s Maluku Province. These include Fordata, Larat, Maru, Molu, Nuswotar, Selaru, Selu, Seira, Wotap, Wuliaru and Yamdena.

NT Championships

25 & 26 July 2026

This premier event is for Off-the-Beach classes - with the winner in each division
being crowned NT Champion. It's a 2-day regatta held on the Darwin Show Day long weekend.

Racing is open to any sailing class that has 3 or more boats to start. DSC classes usually include Tornado, A-Class, Tasar, ILCA 6 & ILCA 7.

Youth Sail NT

YouthSail Northern Territory is our premier Youth and Junior sailing event in the Top End! This event is open to all Australian Sailing affiliated sailors both from the NT and Interstate.
 
YouthSail includes a three-day coaching camp followed by a three-day
Youth Championships regatta.
