Congratulations on completing our Dinghy Coaching Program.

You are welcome to register again for another 4 week block. We encourage sailors to continue in this program as long as it takes them to feel comfortable on the water without the supervision of a safety boat and instructor/coach.

If you feel you are ready to take on further sailing on your own we encouarge you to purchase a boat of your own. Check the noticeboards, Facebook marketplace and ask around the club as there is always something for sale.

DSC boats can be hired for Twilight racing only. You will need to be a Full Sailing Member to hire a boat. boat hire information is on our website.

Course Overview

This course focuses on sailing in stronger winds and introducing extra equipment like spinnaker and trapeze to leverage the full boat potential on the water.

Course Prerequisites

Water confident, and you should have the skills, knowledge and experience gained from the Start Sailing 2 course.

Who should do this course?

This course is designed for participants who wish to continue developing their sailing skills in dinghies. 

Course Outcome

You will gain your Better Sailing completion certificate. 

We recognise that some of our course participants are completing the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award and may be using sailing and/or club membership to complete one or more sections of The Award. To learn more, click here.
