Women & Girls  Program:

Min Age: 13

Ready to get on the water and build your confidence? ‘From Rigging to Racing’ is a supportive, women-and-girls-only sailing program designed to take you from learning the basics through to racing in a fun and welcoming environment. 

3 x 3  hour training sessions followed by 1 x supported participation in a DSC Twilight Race.

Course Highlights:

  • Practical sailing skills, mentorship and social connections
  • Key sailing techniques, including steering, tacking, and gybing
  • Basic seamanship and safety practices for safe and enjoyable sailing
  • Racing a Twilight Race with the support of instructors! 

Pre-Requisites:

  • Water confident.
  • Physically capable of bending, crouching, moving in a seated position & lifting 5kgs.

What to Bring:

STINGER PROTECTION - Leggings/tights + rashie/fishing shirt or stinger suit! No protection = No sailing

CLOSED TOE SHOES - This can be a pair of runners you don't mind getting wet or Aqua shoes from your last snorkelling adventure!

SUN PROTECTION - Hat, sunscreen, water bottle and sunnies!

Green Fleet is an introduction to coaching and learning to train.

Green Fleet promotes practicing the fundamental skills of sailing, introduces some foundation race skills through training activities in an environment that is enjoyable, without a competition focus.
