2022 Oceania Laser Masters Championships
Darwin NT Australia - 20th – 26th August 2022
The 2022 Oceania Laser Masters Championships will be held 20th to 26th August 2022 in Darwin NT. The event is organised by the NT District Laser Class Association and will be hosted by The Darwin Sailing Club.
The Masters competition will be divided into Standard Rig, Radial and 4.7, and then by the age of the sailors – Apprentice Master 35-45, Master 45-55, Grand Master 55-65, and Great Grandmaster 65 – 75 and Legends + 75 and will include men and women sailors. This event is a recognised regional Laser Championship covering all master categories with Laser Cubes awarded to sailors according to the Laser Policy.
I welcome all Laser Master Sailors to come to Darwin for the Championships. The warm waters, clear skies and consistent afternoon sea breezes of the Northern Territory make Darwin the perfect place to host the regatta.
A limited number of Lasers will be bought to Darwin for charter. Sailors are advised to book charters early to save disappointment. Alternatively sailors can bring their own Lasers and enjoy a road trip and family holiday while visiting the many world famous attractions the NT has to offer the tourist.
This promises to be one of the great Laser Championships to remember as you enjoy the warmth and hospitality of the NT.
